1. What is an OTP? (One Time Password - ओटीपी)
An OTP (One Time Password) is an automatically generated numeric or alphanumeric string of characters (typically 4 to 6 digits) that authenticates a single transaction or login session.

- 3Single Use Only: Once entered to confirm a transaction, that specific OTP becomes permanently invalid; it cannot be reused.
- 4Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): OTP acts as the second layer of security. Even if a thief steals your net banking password, they cannot steal your money without the secret OTP sent to your registered mobile number!
2. What is a QR Code? (Quick Response Code - क्यूआर कोड)
A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional (2D) matrix barcode composed of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background.
History & Invention:
- Invented in 1994 by the Japanese automotive company Denso Wave (lead engineer Masahiro Hara) to track automobile parts in Toyota factories.
- Traditional 1D barcodes (linear vertical lines) can only store about 20 numeric characters horizontally.
