Raw transactional data typically contains granular timestamps (e.g., '2026-03-14 09:22:15') or continuous numerical values (e.g., ages from 18 to 75). Grouping allows you to roll dates up into Years, Quarters, and Months, or bin numerical scores into structured frequency brackets.
